All of the stones are made up from a blend of aluminium oxide, carbide and nitride suspended in a soft bonding compound. By using a blend of different abrasive particles rather than just one, these stones are better equipped to sharpen very hard steels such as white paper steel and Japanese high speed steel. The softness of the bonding compound means the particles are released very easily and this makes the sharpening process much faster. All stones need soaking in water before use and should be kept wet during use. All the stones measure 185mm x 64mm x 20mm and are supplied bonded to a waterstone tray. Made in Japan.
