I liked the color but when coming back to reorder, I see that the price has increased by $7. Craziness!

Beautiful, glistening black sand. One problem, some of it is so fine that it becomes air-borne. You need to pour it very slowly and carefully, and have a damp cloth to wipe up the drift.

I used the ACTIVA Scenic Sand for a sensory box with mini shovels, mini clay pots and plastic flowers. The children had a great time putting it in the pots and letting the sand run through their fingers.

Worked great for a filler in my table pieces

This sand is very fine. We used it to weigh down bottles as candlestick holders and it worked great but would be easier to work with of slightly coarser.

It was as black as pictured. We used it in part of a decoration for a wedding, and it worked great!

The sand itself wasn't as dark as shown in the picture, but it was an ok color... too bad so much of it wound up in the bottom of the box (or lost as it leaked out from the corners). The box was too big and the sand was poorly packed with only a few airpacks. I needed 5 lbs, not 4 lbs of sand, so I'm just going to search locally for another option.
