It's a GREAT PREFORMER
tecbec120 I installed the Wifi adapter oi my Lenovo M92 Desktop running Windows Pro. I am currently connected with Xfinity [Comcast or as reffered here as Comcrap]. I installed the drivers on the mini cd BIG Mistake cut the performance considerably. Uninstalled the drivers and let Win 10 Pro install the drivers. I started the test using a Rosewill RNX-EasyN1 usb Wifi adapter. Reading 1. using a 2.0 port 49.6 down 12.5 up #2., 3.0 port47.1 down 11.7 up These ports were in the rear of the PC. The front 2.0 port 48.7 down 12.1 up.the PC is located 11 feet from the Wifi router. I installed theUSB Wifi Adapter 1200Mbps ZTESY USB 3.0 Wifi...ZTESY My results were as follows Reading 1. 2.0 port 99.4 down 12.4 up 3.0 port 105.4 down 12.4 up rear ports. Front 2.0 101.5 down 12.5 up.The router was set for 2.4G I changed the setting to 5.8G using the 3.0 ports received 119.4 mbps. download 12.6 mbps. upload second 3.0 reading 118.2 mbps download and 13.3 mbps upload . I was truly surprised at the increase in performance. This adapter will be a KEEPER and as for my Rosewill it has seen it's day and will be retired. The Zesty worked for me it will work for you.

Works as advertised at 5 GHz with modern routers
Very easy to install on my older desktop PC running Windows 10. Rather than use vendor-supplied driver disk with product, I just plugged it in an available USB 3.0 port on the back of my computer and let Windows find a suitable driver, then went to Realtek's web site to download latest driver directly from the chipset manufacturer. Works like a charm with my 802.11 A/C wireless router at 5GHz -- Internet speeds more than doubled, as did speed of file backups to my local NAS. Recommended product at a great Amazon price (IF you have a wireless router capable of working at the higher frequency and you have an open USB 3.0 port on your PC).

Better than built in wifi
The built in WiFi on my grandmas computer is awful so I bought this adapter and it works perfectly. Her built in wifi adapter didn’t work half the time and on the rare occasion it did work the connection was weak. Her computer is upstairs while the modem is downstairs so the connection was only at 10mbps on a good day with the built in wifi adapter. Ever since getting this USB adapter speeds have been about 40-50mbps out of the maximum 200mpbs available. My computer is downstairs and a little but closer to the modem but I might consider getting one of these for me because it’s so good and so easy to install. It only took about 3 minutes via CD.

Good bandwidth
Good product.I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, I had a previous USB WIFI adapter which I stopped using because of the drop of the bandwidth.I do not see any difference in between the LAN cable and this adapter.

Increased speed and range over laptops native 2.8GHz! Exactly what I needed!
AC 1200 wifi adaptorAfter doing downloads and searches, working on shared documents, uploading, etc, I have to say that this is exactly why I purchased the adaptor. I am able to work much faster.I have an older computer (2010 laptop) running off the 2.4GHz wifi and it is not able to connect to 5.8GHz on my dual band router. Thus, it connects at +/- 10Mbps wifi, with decreasing speed as I increase distance.I should note that I dabble with computers but am not a total techie. I had only a few minutes to set this up before I had to get back to work (usually a danger sign that everything will go wrong). While the installation was not perfectly smooth, it was over in a few minutes.Using the supplied mini-CD, I installed the program for the adaptor. Restarted. Plugged in the adaptor to a USB hub external to my laptop. Windows tried to find drivers but failed. I put the disk and and ran the install again. This time the application link appeared on my desktop and the red bars (for not connected) showed up on my tool bar.I opened the application, went to available networks and hit refresh, and selected my 5.8GHz signal. I put in my password twice and it connected.I did a speed test and there was some slow buggy connection, so I disabled (Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections>>>disable) the native 2.4GHz on the computer and tried again. Connection was at my service max speed, just as experienced by wired desktops in the house! This was more than 5.8x the speed of the native wifi.Additionally, the speed and quality of music and video streaming has dramatically improved.I usually work in the same room and about 15 feet from the wifi router. I also worked one room away, 20 feet from the router and saw no change. Two rooms away and 35 feet or so from the router and still no difference. The latter improvement is also something I needed as the native 2.4GHz wifi in the laptop would not stay connected in the other rooms!I should note, as people did ask, that all the USB on my laptop are USB 2.0.I did notice, while I was moving around with the laptop, that the adaptor disconnected. This seems to be due to the heavy nature of the antenna. I was able to reconnect immediately by reseating the adaptor.I also noted that the application vanishes from time to time. I can restart manually, and it is there, but the connection speed (5.8GHz) is not lost when it vanishes.(FYI – my computer config: W7 Home Premium, Intel Pentium P6200 2.13 GHz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit OS)The reasons I wanted this adaptor were for greater speed and range, and I have both.I see that the adaptor has additional settings and functions and I will explore those and report back!I will also report back if I experience any troubles!

Looks Good And Great Performance
I am very happy with my new ZTESY USB wifi adapter. I purchased it because I was having to swap out an older USB WiFi adapter that I was using between one of my desktops and my laptop. So it was time to get another adapter. This one is well constructed and sturdier than my other one. It also has the gold plated tip, which is nice as well.As for performance it has exceeded my expectations. It picks up both wifi bands in my house with ease and has great range even at the farthest point from my router. I was getting two bars from my other adapter at the farthest range and this one never goes below three bars. My average speed has been around 50 Mbps, with no dropouts yet. Everything was included, even the drivers and installation was a breeze. If you're looking for a reliable wifi adapter than this is the one you want.
