Q: Is chevron yellow actually yellow?

It’s more of a mustard yellow.

Q: Not sure if I received a "used" one since mine came with no tags , only plastic bag. Is this how everyone received theirs?

I received mine in a beat up box with no pillow shams a green ink mark on one side and it looked like it had been returned from someone else and just stuffed in a box so I returned it and was very disappointed. Also it was not the diamond shaped pattern that I ordered.

Q: is it slick? If I used it under a 100% cotton quilt would the quilt slide?

I ordered the quilt in mustard yellow. It is lovely. I use it as a bedspread -- it is hefty enough. It is not slick.
