MASTER USA MU-A104AF Spring Assisted Knife, USA Flag, 7.75 inch

I had previously bought a couple of these and found them to be of excellent quality. For this order, I got five (5) of them.I put together base level Emergency Packs/Bug Out Bags every year to give out. I just started the 2025 set. A quality knife is an important tool that I include in each of these.I've begun my 2025 packs and needed knives to include. These fit the bill perfectly.Their construction is solid and their weight is perfect for all hands. The balance in the hand is good and the blade length is sufficient for most uses. It is both big enough and yet NOT too large. The mechanical operation opening and closing is smooth.I like that it has a traditional drop point without any serrations. There are a LOT of schmancy blades out there with any number of serrations or other mods that make those knives more difficult to maintain properly in the field. What you need is a straightforward traditional blade that allows you to use a knife for its given purposes - Stabbing and Slicing. FWIW, I also include a multi-tool in each pack along with a saw. These tools provide the functionality that a fancy blade is trying to emulate. And multi-tools do it better. Also, I am not a fan of tanto blades either.The blades had a good initial sharpness. I always wind up giving each new knife I get a quick once over with a sharpener but I am just anally retentive that way. I think that anyone could be confident using one of these as-is straight out of the box.I think that these knives are an excellent choice as a backup to a decent fixed blade and also sturdy enough to be your primary if needed.

Got for self defense. Knife is super good quality and super sharp. Highly recommended

This knife seems really good quality for five dollars! I was shopping for some last minute father's day gifts. I really wanted my Dad and Grandfather to have rough ryder knives, as I think those are very good quality and fairly priced. But the rough ryders weren't coming in time for fathers day. So I ordered these for them to have something on fathers day. I expected them to be cheap and junky for 5 dollars. I was pleasantly surprised that they are not. I'd almost put them in the same category as rough ryder without the warranty.My one complaint: The reason I did not give them five stars is because they did not arrive on time for fathers day. Thankfully, the rough ryders came a couple days early and were able to be given on fathers day.So, if you want a good, quality knife for cheap, this is the one for you. But if you want a last minute gift, I'd go with something else because these did not arrive on time (but that is a seller issue, not a product issue).

My son likes this and hasn't cut himself yet !!

Grip:Cheap plastic handle but the blade is ice, good purchase for its cost.

Sharp knife is a safe knife reference to scouting it is vary sharp
