Works perfectly -- no hyper flash issue, used to be able to upgrade to led bulbs
The electronic flasher is solid, looks well made and assembled. I used it to replace and upgrade the original mechanical flasher in a classic 1956 Ford, in order to upgrade old style bulbs to much brighter LED bulbs while retaining OEM appearance. Easy swap, involving (i) connecting the ground wire to a screw located already under the dash, that I loosened, slid in the ground wire end, and retightened, and (ii) removed and swapped over the two existing wire leads from the mechanical flasher to this new flasher. Works perfectly -- no hyper flash issue, and no need for load resistors or flasher relay. Slightly larger diameter then original mechanical flasher, but was still able to pry open the oem bracket to enlarge and allow this to mount into the original location bracket. Highly recommend.

Got 2 for my 97 Ram LED conversion
97 Ram SLT Laramie 1500 5.9L. Replaced all front & rear lighting with LED. I made wire extensions as they are too tall to fit with fuse cover on. One flasher had to have the polarity swapped. Works great with subtle and satisfying blink click. Simply tuck them into the fuse area or make longer extensions and run them to a farther location. Make a solid connection for ground wire.

Immediately Clicks On then Off without any Delay. Works with 100% LED.
The vehicle these two flashers were installed in is a '96 Dodge Ram pickup with 100% LED lights. The old flashers didn't work with the new LED lights. The new flashers work perfectly with a distinct clicking sound; there is no delay when the blinkers or hazard lights are turned off. I suspect the delay problems other reviewers have mentioned is due to a bad ground. Not having a good connection can make electronics do weird things. In the picture you can see I grounded to the frame of the fuse box. Super easy. I drilled a hole then scratched the area around the hole to make sure a very clean surface was there for good metal to metal contact. Then I used a stubby sheet metal screw I found rolling around in a toolbox to fasten the wires coming out of the flashers. The flashers worked only when connected to a ground. A problem I ran into was one set of wires on the truck were wired in backwards, so I swapped the two female spade connectors in the fuse box and the flasher began working. Easy. The final obstacle was the fuse panel cover didn't quite fit over the taller flashers, so I cut the bump off the panel (as seen in the second pic) and that made plenty of room to fasten the panel back on. The job from start to finish took 15 minutes or so. Very easy. Works perfectly with my 100% LED lights. Looks good, too. No one can see the modifications made. Only a professional consciously looking would notice.

Short term solution
Worked fine for 5 months, then fails to flash. Be aware of short lifespan.

Solved and issue!
When I was converting my classic car lights to LED lights, there were issues with blinker synchronization as well as reliability. I cam across an obscure thread at the time that said I should try one of these. Well, it worked! It fixed the issues and the LED lights work great now!If you are upgrading to LEDs, this item works great!

A good electronic flasher with a faint clicking sound.
I purchased this flasher after converting to LED's and trying a different brand of electronic flasher. The other units were silent so hard for me to know that they were actually on. This was one of the few electronic units I could find that had an audible sound so I ordered and installed it. As noted this unit does need the ground pigtail attached in order to operate, and does make a clicking sound when operating. Unfortunately when my Jeep is running it is too faint for me to hear it. This unit does operate well and does the job. I just wished it was a bit louder where I could hear it better.

Exactly what I needed in my classic!!!
This flasher works like a champ!!!I just received the flashers yesterday, and installed the first one in my classic. I purchased two (turn signal and emergency flashers) and I have only had a chance to install the turn signal flasher. For now, I love it... It works exactly as it is supposed to.I have replaced most of the bulbs in my car with LEDs and, as I have been doing so, the more bulbs I replace, the more erratic the flashing timing has been. Not only that, but the left turn signal flashed at a different rate than the right, which was very annoying. Also, the flasher was difficult to hear under the dash, and became quieter with the LEDs.Now that I installed this flasher, they flash at the same rate on both sides, and it seems like the appropriate rate (not sped up or slowed down). I can also hear it much louder than the thermal flasher was.The only issue (slight complaint) that I have with it is the clicking sound. After I turn off the turn signal, the flasher will continue to click two or three times more, making me double check to see if I turned off the signal or not. Not much of an issue, but slightly annoying right now.If it lasts, it'll be the perfect purchase for my situation. I just hope that the emergency flasher works as well.
