I have wavy/curly hair and up until finding this device could not get it under control. This helps to make it a little straighter and then with some leave in conditioning manageable. Glad i bought it, you do have to use a heat spray protein protector for hair though. Otherwise glad i found it and it was affordable.

I purchased it to press out my hair and it was a waste of money it doesn’t get hot enough. My hair is long, soft and not curly. Save your money it is not for black hair

It simply could not do the job I intended, my 13 year old daughter has 4c hair , the kind that makes you wanna use a hot comb right before you shampoo 🤣 and she has the NERVE to be tender headed ! It doesn’t get close to the straightness I wanted. It also begin to turn at the base because it didn’t heat high enough to go straight through, so the pressure was moving the handle around off to the sides. Now it did work well for my older daughters lace wigs , but their not my younger child’s texture.I’m going to have to simply spring for a more expensive version.P.s when I put Just For Me texturing perm in her hair , then used the comb it work decent , but I wanted something that could straighten her natural hair texture.

So im really disappointed in this product... takes a while to get to optimum heat. Doesnt actually gets the hair bone straight.. Wish it had a heat gage, not just on and off. Also those guards slip off all the time, and it's plastic, it starting to melt.

My grandmother used a hot comb consistently for her hair. Placed on the stove, on the fire and with a wet rag to pat it on in case it was too hot. This one gets really hot. There isn't a temperature control and the covers that come with it won't stay on. Overall it works well and straightened hair like I wanted. I do like the stand connected to it so it won't rest on anything directly.

I like the guards it comes with that prevent burning the skin when using the comb. Because it only has one setting keeps me from giving a rating of 5 stars. If you do not prefer high heat, this is not for you, but overall, it is a good product.

Bought for boyfriends beard, not temp control it's on or its off.. gets hot fast.Bad side is its bulky so cant get as close as you want to either my head or his chin.. but he uses it soo...
