20PCS 2N3904Y 2N3904 3904 NPN Transistor TO-92 40V 200MA 625mW

My friend loaned his trailer out to his boss for a weekend concert and it came back with the inverter broken. So he pulled it out and brought it to me for analyses. Both 30 amp soldered in board fuses were blown and a transistor next to one of the fuses was burned completely off. after spending an hour or so trying to read the number on the housing, I ordered in the transistors and took a chance on replacing it. Sure enough it did the trick. I remoted the fuses to outside of the case and awaiting him to reinstall it in his trailer and give it a good load test. It bench tests just fine but my bench power supply is only 5 amps. A long way from the 60 amps its rated for.

These are good. Have used 8 or so thus far in little circuits. Made some sound-reactive LEDs, going to use next in a fuzz pedal. Awesome for the price. No complaints from me!

Outside the 2N2222, this is probably one of the most widely used small signal transistors from the days of yore. Nice to know they're still around for effects pedal and guitar amp tinkerers everywhere. The bent leads make breadboarding and hand soldering so much easier. Definitely recommend.
