Berghaus Men's Expeditor Active AQ Tech Shoes

These replaced a well known American made shoe that after a short time started leaking and the rubber molding leaving the leather. The laces were gripped by the simple hole in the leather and took time to both fasten and unfasten. The Berghaus British shoes are excellent so far and get more comfortable each time I wear them. Very pleased with the comfort and style as well as quality.I have now used these for walks and since I live in the Lake District that means considerable variety of terrain including easy rock surfaces on which they grip very well. They're very comfortable and although I take a fairly wide shoe these are externally neat enabling me to drive cars without problems of hitting two pedals at once!!Overall I am extremely pleased with these walking shoes, they are excellent.

This is the first occasion that I have bought shoes online, having previously preferred to buy in-store because of fit and comfort concerns. I took the risk this time because I am fed up with the stores (including those operating online) not stocking half sizes, so that I have had to buy shoes or boots slightly larger than I really need. So full marks to Amazon for offering half sizes. These shoes are a near-perfect fit and are very comfortable straight from the box. They are not particularly light or flexible, and in my opinion are more suitable for serious walking than smart casual wear. They appear to be up to the usual Berghaus high quality. I have knocked off one star simply because of the rather drab appearance - they are very plain and only come in dark brown or grey.

With lots of walking shoes/boots it’s advised that you go up half a size to allow for your feet swelling after walking for a long time. I am a 10 and got a 10.5. Didn’t feel right. Exchanged for 10. These are my summer walkers so thin socks and staying cool is the way ahead. Out of the box they are fab and feel broken in. Very comfortable and all round excellent shoe. Love them. I did go half a size up in the Hillmaster GTX2 boots but might get a 10 next time. Well made and recommend

I wanted some walking shoes to replace some worn out Karrimors. Thought I would pay a bit more and try a higher quality name. I didn't want anything with a Vibram sole as I find them too hard and consequently dangerously slippy in certain situations.The expeditors fit straight out of the box, super comfortable and extremely well put together. They are not the current fashion which is a bit loud and brash, but discreet and unobtrusive which suits me. The soles are very well treaded and made of soft enough rubber to actually grip, they are also firm enough to walk over broken ground while are just as happy on tarmac. Overall an excellent walking shoe....highly recommended.

Already owning a pair of Berghaus boots I thought these would be a good decision. I was disappointed straight out of the box. They did not feel the same quality as my boots at all but the main issue was although I ordered the same size as my boots (which are a nice fit) they are quite narrow. I doubt I could wear a thick pair of socks and remain comfortable on a walk. The lenght of the shoe was ok I take a size 9 and had just about enough toe room.I have returned them for a refund.

I have been using a pair of Berghaus boots for a couple of years, (they still look good) I need it a pair of shoes for my work where involves a lot of walking so I just tried them out from the box and I couldn't believe how comfortable are this hiking shoes considering they are brand new.I use them for few hours they have good grip, very light and flexible.Highly recommended

I already had Berghaus boots which were brilliant. I bought these to replace a cheaper high street brand on which, while the uppers & bottoms of the soles were in very good nick, had very quickly lost all semblance of comfort. No such worries with these. You can feel the difference in quality as soon as you put them on! Excellent!

They are a loose fit maybe a size too big I can't decide. It's a problem with purchasing shoes on the internet. As someone mentioned putting in an inner sole make them fit better. I'm a UK size 8 and they look and feel like a size 9. I suppose if you were wearing very thick socks they would be a better fit? I can literally put two fingers down the back, they are that loose with the laces tied, and wearing moderately thick socks.

questo e' il terzo paio che acquisto , perché mi ci sono trovato ottimamente. la costruzione e' ottima, le rifiniture sono ben fatte, sono molto comode, e resistenti le ho utilizzate con pioggia, neve, con ramponi su ghiaccio, su sterrato, guadi di piccoli torrenti su roccia, ghiaioni e tutto quello che si puo' incontrare durante le escursioni in montagna (e non solo).si asciugano, se bagnate, relativamente velocemente e, particolare da non sottovalutare, se utilizzate con calzini di qualita', non prendono e non lasciano cattivo odore, anche dopo molte ore di utilizzo. per quel che mi riguarda, se dovessi trovare un'offerta valida, ne acquisterei un altro paio.
